Young people can and do create the solutions they need in their communities!

The Maine Youth Leadership & Development Council is comprised of youth-partnering organizations working to realize healthy, thriving youth communities.

These organizations serve as resource hubs for young people across the state, connecting youth to each other, near-peer mentors, and supportive adults. Each organization facilitates a combination of affinity group programming and/or community impact projects, scaffolding youth leadership development opportunities to meet the needs and interests of young folks.

Together the Council founders are strengthening statewide infrastructure to ensure cross-sector collaboration, leadership development, and continuous learning and improvement with member organizations and community partners.

We aim to support sustainable healthy, thriving youth communities for and with every young person in Maine.
